You do not need to arrive experienced, competitive or with an organised group. Pickleball Park NZ has a clear beginner route designed to get you learning through real play.

The easiest first session
First Rally Social is currently the Park's beginner-focused session: learn the basics, build confidence and play real games in a low-pressure environment, with coaching available for tips and rule clarification.
Dates, availability and pricing change. Use PlayByPoint for the current session details rather than relying on a static timetable.

Four simple steps
Open the live beginner programme and pick an available session.
Create or use your PlayByPoint account if the booking flow asks you to.
Confirm the current requirements, arrival details and anything you need to bring.
Learn the basics, get coaching pointers and build confidence through real rallies.
Pickleball in 30 seconds
Pickleball is a paddle sport played over a low net on a compact court. The smaller space and straightforward scoring make it approachable for new players, while placement, movement and strategy give you plenty to work on as you improve.

What should I bring?
Equipment and session requirements can vary, so the live PlayByPoint listing should be your final check. Wear comfortable sports clothing and review the session details for current footwear or equipment guidance.
If anything is unclear, contact the Park on 021 859 271 before your session.
